Plandemic’s Mikki Willis Joins, Praises Violent Capitol Mob

On January 6, 2021, Mikki Willis, notorious for producing and marketing the pseudoscience propaganda film “Plandemic” which went viral last May, joined the Trump-incited mob storming the Capitol building.

Video footage uploaded to Reddit shows Willis amidst a phalanx of insurrectionists breaching one of the Capitol door entrances. Willis is seen holding a mobile phone aloft, filming into the building. Around him, the mob is chanting “Hang Mike Pence.”

Soon after this footage was taken, Willis appeared on a sideshow stage as a featured speaker for the MAGA Freedom Rally, alongside anti-vax activists Del Bigtree and David Martin, QAnon film recruiter Mike Smith, and Trump-pardoned felon Roger Stone. He was introduced by cancer-conspiracist Charlene Bollinger. Before Willis stepped onto the stage, Bollinger said: “We are at war. This is war between good and evil.”

In his 14-minute speech to the small crowd, Willis said that the Capitol breech was “a beautiful thing to see” enacted by “our patriots.” He railed against the mainstream media, praised QAnon propagandist Mike Smith as a personal friend, and referred to the coming eradication of the “Cabal”—a QAnon catchphrase for supposed ruling elites.

Willis apparently becomes tearful when mentioning his own children, stating they deserve to not be injected with poisons and to have childhoods in which they could ride their bikes freely. Police sirens wail in the background throughout his speech.

On January 8, Willis posted his account of his participation in the mob action “as a journalist” to his Facebook page. In the post, he calls the mob “protesters,” claims some of them were Biden supporters, repeats false claims of election fraud, and quotes an insurrectionist falsely claiming that the violence was perpetrated by Antifa.

Willis also claims that he dissuaded mob participants from attacking police and was “not happy” with the actions of insurrectionists that entered the Capitol. In an addition to the post, he claims to have not heard the mob he was standing in chanting “Hang Mike Pence”—he thought they were chanting “Where’s Mike Pence” or “Hey Mike Pence.”

Willis also uses the post to claim his political neutrality. But on Election Night in November, he presented a pitch for his new film project about the “American Family” at a house party in Austin that featured a prayer circle for Trump, led by New Age entrepreneur Joyous Heart. While the video was removed from Facebook, we captured the audio below:

Willis also made it into a New York Times highlights reel of the violence (time cue 1:30). He is seen “reporting” into his mobile phone from the Capitol steps. In the clip, Willis does not appear to be displaying press credentials.

In response to our posting his speech on our Facebook page, Willis offered the following response to his involvement of the day and his beliefs about what’s occurring in our nation.
